Waiting so patiently to get her haircut for the first time

Super Heroes on Christmas Eve

I wish I could remember all of their super hero names and super powers (damn you delicious pomegranate champagne cocktails) here is what I recall:

Magbee "Thunder Woman" -makes thunder duh
Abbi Not her favorite color but she rallied "Power Flower" - makes flowers grow pretty
Clash "Super Star" - puts stars in the sky when villains take them

I don't know about you but I feel safer already (possibly attributed to the above referenced champagne).

Pumpkin Patch

This weekend we went on our annual pumpkin hunt at the the Underhill Farm in Moorpark. Gorgeous fall day that was just cool enough where I could pretend to be back on the East Coast.

Anchor Steam beer, hot fresh donuts and Clash got to pet a rat, so success all around.

The green dress Mighty is wearing is my birthday dress when I turned 1 just a few years ago.

Lost Ansel Adams Negative Found... or did they steal it from my recent blog post

One of these pics is estimated to be worth 200 million and one is from my vacation. Can you figure out which is which? Ok maybe Ansel's is slightly better but come on!

p.s. I am selling my negative for $199 million. Suck it Ansel.

Hello Gorgeous!

How Does Your Garden Grow

Clash and I planted a garden in March and it has been so fun going on garden checks every morning and picking tomatoes, which he runs into the house to show his daddy. He loves the baby tomatoes, not to eat naturally, but to save them from the "dinosaur forest." I have played many games of mama tomato and baby tomato. Good times!

Here are some pics of the process-

Family Road Trip - Rte 1

Los Angeles to Monterey and Back Again

Highlights include:

1. Clash's vacation song for Mighty - "You don't know where you're going but it's ok, it's vacation."
2. Clash pulling out his "weewee" at the Hearst Country Store and declaring, "Look mom it's so big." Also great sandwich!!
3. Mighty's first swim in a pool. Her face lit up!
4. Brown Butter Cookie Company in Cayucos. Basically if you brush anything with sea salt it is amazing!
5. Jelly fish at the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
6. The 6 minutes of driving through Big Sur when both kids were asleep.
7. Driving by zebras.
8. 17-mile drive in Pebble Beach.
9. The second both kids fell asleep at night.

Lowlights include:

1. Taking a 3-year old to Hearst Castle. He wasn't too impressed and I am pretty sure the feeling was mutual.
2. Clash losing his baby dinosaur at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Although this turned into a highlight when we found another one that looked just like it in this little surf town Cayucos. The replacement didn't fool Clash but for some reason it fooled Glenn even though he knew the plan.
3. Glenn's 30 minute conversation with the bus boy at Mariachis about Lebron James. Also Mariachis.
